How is my data utilized?

We do not sell or share your personal information, such as contact details (email) or time clock data, without your consent. However, we do analyze account plan information on an aggregate basis within our system to better tailor our applications to meet specific customer needs.

What steps do I need to take to upgrade from the Time Clock Free plan?

To upgrade your Time Clock Free plan, please go to the Purchase page and make a payment either as a one-time fee or set up an automatic subscription. Once your payment is processed, we will upgrade your account manually within 24 hours. You are also welcome to contact us immediately after making the payment. Our support team is available for 16 hours daily and can be reached via toll-free phone, live chat on our website, email, or through our ticketing system.

What occurs with my data if my subscription comes to an end?

Upon the expiration of your subscription, your account will revert to the free plan. This change means you will no longer have access to the features included in the paid plan, but your data will remain intact. You simply lose access to the premium features. If you decide to resubscribe, you will regain access to these features.

How frequently are new features introduced?

We offer native applications for Android and iOS mobile devices as well as tablets. Additionally, we provide native apps for Windows and Mac OS desktop computers. Our service is also accessible via contemporary web browsers such as Google Chrome, Apple Safari, and Firefox across various operating systems including Linux, Mac OS, Windows, Android, and iOS.

What hardware specifications are needed?

You and your employees only require a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet connectivity. While a web camera, barcode scanner, and QR Code handheld device are not mandatory for clocking in, our system is compatible with these devices.

Additionally, although not obligatory, our software supports the use of external web cameras, barcode/QR Code scanners, and RFID/NFC readers. If you are considering a barcode/QR Code scanner or an RFID/NFC reader, it's advisable to confirm with the vendor whether these devices can function as keyboard emulators, which allows them to operate as keyboard input devices within our software. For devices that only have a USB connection and are intended for use with computers, an OTG cable can be purchased to enable compatibility with Android and iOS devices, including iPhones and iPads.

Where is the system accessible for my employees or me?

The system is available globally as Time Clock Free operates over the Internet. Employees can access it from specific computers, tablets, and smartphones, and you have the option to restrict access to certain networks or GPS locations if desired.

My employees possess minimal or no experience with computers.

Time Clock Free was created under the principle that "no instructions are necessary." It is extremely user-friendly and easy to operate.

Is support provided at no cost?

Yes, we provide complimentary email support and upgrades for the duration of your use of the service. Free technical support is accessible to all users.

We are on a tight budget; do you provide a free version of your service?

If the advanced features are not required, there is no cost involved. The FREE PLAN is open to businesses of any size, with unlimited access for managers, employees, devices, jobs, and shifts. Additionally, if you represent a government entity, school, hospital, or non-profit organization, you may qualify for our NPO Plan which grants free access to all features. All customers have the option of our Sponsor Link Plan, which is available to those willing to include a text link on their website.

If the service is free and web-based, why is there an option to download it?

The full features of the system are accessible through web browsers. However, using native applications on Windows, Mac OS, iOS, and Android can enhance your experience.

Is a web camera required from the start?

A web camera is not necessary to use our service. You have the option to enable or disable the web camera feature at any time. In addition to face recognition, you can opt to use a username/password or scan a QR code for clocking in and out.

Every time I clock in, I receive a new Device ID. How can I stop my Device ID from changing each time?

We rely on a 'cookie' within the web browser to save the Device ID. Please ensure that cookies are enabled in your browser settings. Alternatively, consider installing our native applications for Windows, Mac OS, iOS, and Android. You can find them on our Download page.
